Velourlips

Deep, oxblood lips are a trend I love all year round, but now that it is heading into winter here in Australia I am excited to wear a deeper lip on a more regular basis. Formulation is key when it comes to a shade this dark, and the Australis Velourlips are perfect for a bold lip that you don't have to think about. I picked up the shade in Buda-Pash, but there are so many different shades there really is something for everyone.

My Holy Grail Foundation

Foundations are something I have generally had a hate/hate relationship with in the past. With a clear, generally even complexion foundation doesn't really have much to offer, and in some cases it even made my skin look worse. My sister pestered me to try MAC's Face and Body and physically had to drag me to the MAC counter to pick up a sample because she knew it was exactly what I was looking for.

Custom Coverage

As someone who swears by sponges, finding a face brush that I love as much, possibly even more, is a big deal. While I love the finish a sponge can give, I did notice how much product they suck up and how much more foundation I needed to get a light coverage. After trialling the Expert Face Brush from Real Techniques for a while, and seeing how much other loved it while I didn't, I figured brushes just weren't for me.

Honey Bronze

As a fair skinned girl, The Body Shop's honey bronzer has always appealed to me. But as an utter bronzer-phobe, I had convinced myself it just wasn't for me and that I needed to stop spending money on them as they never seemed to work. The other day when my sister was testing out nearly every skin care item The Body Shop has on offer, I found myself contemplating this product once again. The lady working asked if I would like to try it on and proceeded to apply what I thought was an overly generous amount, but when I looked in the mirror once she was done I realised how natural and lovely it looked on the skin.

I was sold, and using it myself at home has been amazing experience after amazing experience. It is such a fool proof application, you can swirl your brush in the pan until your heart is content and you will never have too much product. This is definitely the ultimate bronzer for a natural look, and I highly recommend it to anyone who struggles to find a product that suits their skin tone.

What is your favourite bronzer?

Nueyork Turns One!

When I first started with Nueyork I never imagined I would actually make it to the one year point, so this date in itself is such a huge achievement for me! I am so proud of how far I've come and how much motivation I have to keep going, especially since I am someone who stops and starts projects quite quickly.

I just want to say a huge thank you to anyone who has ever read, commented or followed my blog to any degree. It all means so, so much to me - especially all the warmth and positive feedback I get in the comments section.

Thank you so much for an amazing year!
