This is a collection of high-end beauty products I've been lusting after recently and hope to someday add to my collection!

1. Tarte Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Foundation & Airbuki ($62)

I think it was inevitable that I would want this foundation. Not only has it gotten countless positive reviews as a product, but it makes application easy. I have always been interested in mineral/powder foundations considering how finicky I am when it comes to liquid or cream application and as a result usually end up skipping foundation because it takes me so long to get it a way I like. Plus, all of Tarte's packaging is to die for!

2. Nars Blushers ($45)

I don't think there is a more hyped blusher than Nars 'Orgasm', but I am interested in trying any Nars blusher. Because of the fluctuated price where I live I've definitely been putting it off for some time, but always find myself drawn to them in Mecca Cosmetica. Everything from the formula to colours is just gorgeous and I really want to get my hands on them.

3. Mac Pro Longwear Lip Creme ($40)

Something about this formulation just has me intrigued, especially since I haven't heard a whole heap about them. The colour range seems to be quite limited at the moment but they definitely have included all of the staples. Longwearing lipstick is something I definitely look for and judging by the rest of MAC's Pro Longwear line, they will do just that.

4. Urban Decay's Naked 2 Palette ($60)

Of all the Naked palettes, Naked 2 just visually appeals to me the most. I can't say I feel any draw to Naked 1, except for the first few golden/coppery shades, and Naked 3 is beautiful, but I feel there is too much pinky hue for my personal taste. Naked 2 just has the perfect range of colours and not a single one I can't imagine myself using. My taupe collection is severely lacking which is sad because I love the look of them so much, so this would be the perfect addition to my collection.

5. Bobbi Brown Bronzing Powder ($60)

I have been struggling so much to find a bronzer that doesn't look muddy or orange with my complexion, a struggle I'm sure we've all had. When I try to contour I feel like I've just created a brown splotch on my face with no defining effect at all, at least none that outweighs the muddy look. After seeing the colour the Bobbi Brown Bronzing powder creates on the face and even as a crease shade, I am in love.

Current Love: Neutrals

There has been a chill to the air with a glare to the sky the past week which is typical of my city and that is what prompted me to wear these two pieces non stop. I never thought I would, but I love the mohair/fuzzy sweater trend and even have another on its way in the mail.

My glasses are a pair in the colour 'fawn' which I think describes them perfectly. They're a light, neutral brown and are a nice change from my identical pair in black. I am definitely a black girl at heart but I've been finding myself wearing more oatmeals and neutrals, which is different, but I'm loving it.

Look for Less: Celine Inspired Tote

I am a big believer in the difference between 'fake' and 'inspired' for the reason that I don't think you should have to shell out thousands just to achieve a look you love. When it comes to the fashion industry designs aren't protected and almost everything is inspired somewhat by a  high-end designer. This happens all the time and I am sure all of us own 'inspired' items without even realising it!
However, if a piece is claiming to be Celine or Chanel when it isn't, this is where 'fake' comes in. This isn't a petty "Wow she has a fake Chanel!" it is a serious enough offence to be illegal.

While scouring the internet for a look-a-like bag, I found Daily Look's 'Large Structured Handbag'. This bag is almost identical to the Celine luggage tote, the bag I had in mind, but without any of the branding.
The quality of this bag is amazing! I lug it everywhere, including university, and it holds my texts and laptop without feeling as though the handles are about to snap like a lot of my other totes. It has also held it's shape perfectly which is an issue I've had with a lot of my other "structured" totes.
One of my favourite details is the tan suede-like interior. It adds such a subtle touch but it makes all the difference to me, especially because it's so much easier to find what I'm looking for!

I would highly recommend this to anyone who is lusting after a Celine bag and worrying about the price tag!

Trending

While it's safe to say I haven't always been the most on trend person in the world, I have actually found myself lusting after looks lately. The fact that all things edgy are on pointe is a dream come true to me as I have always loved this style. However, up until late, I have always found it hard to find pieces that have the right balance of grunge and chic. Here are just a few things I've been loving:

1. Chunky Heels
These are definitely and love hate piece and I know a lot of people who hate the look of these on the food. But… I am in love! A shoe like the Jeffrey Campbell's shown above can transform a boring outfit and are just stunning in general!

2. Kenzo Eye Print
I have seen this print none stop and while I never would have thought I'd yearn for an eye print, here I am. There is something about it that just excites me, and I can't quite put my finger on it.

3. Dark Lips
This is probably the most surprising thing I've jumped on board with considering I have a fear of bold lips. Again, something about this just speaks to me and I don't quite understand it. With the effort I took selecting the perfect oxblood shade, I had better love this look for while!

4. White Nails
People can't seem to resist making a white-out comment when white nails are mentioned, and I was skeptical in the beginning too. White nails do not look like white out! They just look clean, professional and best of all make you look tanned! Matte white, creamy white, I like them all!

5. Big Glasses
There is just something so great about the shape of these glasses and I really cannot think of words to describe them. They are almost circular, but not quite, and are extremely flattering on most face shapes. Finding glasses that suit me is a chore, but I have had a streak of good luck when it comes to these frames.

6. Quartz Rings
I love quartz and I love rings, so this is a given. The earthy vibe from quartz stones mixed with glistening gold or silver is just so aesthetically pleasing I need it on my fingers so I can see it every day.

Revlon Matte Balms: A Review

I love the matte look and if I could have it my way all of my possessions would be mattified. I especially love the matte makeup look, perhaps my only look, so undoubtably I loved these.
The two colours I picked up are 'Elusive' and 'Unapologetic'. I hate that I bought two pinks of a large range, even if they are quite different. I originally only wanted 'Elusive' and was going to also get the deep red, but on their release day it was already sold out when I went. Priceline had a two-for-one deal and 'Unapologetic' was the only colour left that I did genuinely like.

The Revlon Colorburst Balms definitely do not need another rave review, there have been countless since their release this past year, but here I am. They are by no means long wearing, but they do leave a slight stain to the lips once they've rubbed off. Reapplying is so easy in this format, so it doesn't bother me, especially considering the formula is one of the best I have tried. There is a silkiness to them that I haven't experienced in matte lip products before, however they still have the tendency to settle if your lips are chapped or not exfoliated, so keep that in mind.

The scent, to me, is amazing. It is the same as the Just Bitten Kissables and reminds me of spearmint gum. I also have a really big soft spot for the packaging and find myself stroking them before and after use, or basically any time they are lying around near me.
